Buccellato Design - Bio

Kevin and Aimee Buccellato hold their Bachelor of Architecture degrees from the University of Notre Dame School of Architecture and are currently on the Architecture Faculty at their beloved alma mater. Before returning to South Bend, Kevin and Aimee worked at several well-known architecture firms practicing traditional architecture and urbanism; most recently at G. P. Schafer Architect, PLLC in New York City where both were associates involved in business and project management.

Both Kevin and Aimee have been involved in the mission of the Institute of Classical Architecture and Classical America, a national non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the classical tradition in architecture, urbanism, and their allied arts. Ms. Buccellato served for three years as managing editor of the Institute’s publication The Forum; was the Assistant Director of the Institute’s Intensive Professional Program in Classical Architecture in 2005; and has been a Fellow of the ICA&CA since 2003, serving as Fellows President and representative to the Board of Directors in 2005-2006.

Their independent design partnership, Buccellato Design, is focused primarily in traditional residential construction of the highest quality, with finished projects – from small renovations to ground-up construction – in New York, New Jersey, Indiana, Idaho, and California. (For more information about the firm and their work, please contact: inquiry@buccellatodesign.com)

In addition to their design practice, research, writing, and teaching, Kevin and Aimee are happily raising two wonderful boys: Owen, age two, and Nate, five months.
